The Farm & The Farmers

We are a small vegetable operation, entering our third year farming our backyard meadow. Once a working horse farm, the meadow has been sitting fallow waiting to be worked again. We broke ground in the fall of 2022 thanks to our amazing friends and neighbors. We began by planting cover crops, strawberries, and garlic, and building a 30’ x 48’ greenhouse. We launched a small CSA in the spring of 2023 that quickly became the heart of the farm.

In our first summer we received our Organic Certification from NOFA - NY and were certified Real Organic by the Real Organic Project. We follow organic standards, as well as our own moral standards of sustainable agriculture.

In 2024 we built a new 30’ x 96’ high tunnel that allows us to extend our season, and help us grow more food for more people!

In 2025, we are looking to double our CSA and attend the Peru Town Market from June - October. You can also find our produce seasonally at Nori’s Village Market and North Country Food Co-Op.

We are on a mission to make good food accessible to our neighbors. We believe that shopping small and local sustains our local economies, and food is no exception. We have been hard at work bringing our farm dreams to fruition and are looking forward to partnering with other local producers on a similar mission.

Becca

Hi there! Becca here. I am the farm owner and the voice behind the website, social media, email communications, etc.

I grew up in a city, totally disconnected from my food and its production. While eating “healthy” was always a priority, I never put much thought into where all those veggies came from.

One day I found myself in the Sacramento Valley of California surrounded by the agriculture that primarily feeds the country. I was shook by the realization of my own lacking awareness.

Inspired, I began farming and pursued a degree in Crop Production, Horticulture, and Land Resource Management.

After bouncing around farming all over the country in varying capacities, I’ve decided to give Adirondack farming another go.

I’ve got big dreams and can’t wait to see what season THREE brings to life!

I’ve been living and working in the Adirondacks for over 20 years. I fell in love with the wild, beautiful, and solitary places while backpacking the high peaks as a teenager.

My Adirondack roots grew while attending college, working in wilderness therapy, and becoming an AVCS science teacher. I now have the privilege to share this place that I call home with those whom I love.

Being part of a growth minded and positive community that is connected to the land we all treasure is important to me. I’m so excited to be able to work with Becca to grow healthy food for our community.

Thank you for your interest and support!

Joel
